Blue Angels practices open to the public

PENSACOLA, Fla. — The Blue Angels confirmed they will practice this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday behind the National Naval Aviation Museum aboard Naval Air Station Pensacola.

An F/A-18 Hornet is capable of speeds up to 1,400 mph, enabling pilots to mesmerize air show fans with jaw-dropping maneuvers, sometimes coming within inches of each other.

Regular Blue Angel practices are held most Wednesday mornings at 8:30 a.m. from March through November.

Practices generally last one hour, and bleachers are available for seating about 1,000 people.

Autograph sessions with the pilots are held inside the Blue Angels Atrium following several of the Wednesday practices.

Admission to the Blue Angel practices and the autograph sessions are free and open to the public.
