NAS PENSACOLA, Fla. — In commemoration of the Centennial of Naval Aviation, the Navy’s Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, will perform over Pensacola Bay and numerous aircraft will be on display at NAS Pensacola May 3 and 4.
Tuesday, May 3, performances will begin at 8:30 a.m. featuring vintage aircraft fly-bys, Coast Guard Search and Rescue and drug interdiction simulations and a USMC Harrier flight demonstration. The morning’s presentations will culminate with the Blue Angels taking to the air at noon.
The Blue Angels will start Wednesday’s demonstrations at 8:30 a.m. followed by the Coast Guard, Harrier and vintage aircraft fly-bys.
Both performances are free and open to the public. Food and memorabilia will be available at numerous concession stands. Pets and coolers are not permitted.
Security personnel and signs will direct spectators to parking areas near the show site. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and sunscreen to enjoy this first-ever event from the seawall at NAS Pensacola or Fort Pickens.
Both locations will offer incredible vantage points to see these amazing and impressive aerial demonstrations.
