Forbes named Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama one of America’s 2021 Best Mid-Size Employers. Blue Cross ranked 32nd out of the top 500 mid-sized employers nationwide.
Recognition was based on Forbes randomly surveying 50,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees. Participants were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family, and to nominate organizations other than their own. The final list ranks the 500 large and 500 midsize employers that received the most recommendations.
“It is a distinct honor to again be recognized as one of America’s best mid-size employers,” said Tim Vines, President and CEO of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama. “We are committed to creating a positive, rewarding and healthy work environment for our more than 3,000 employees dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers.”
This is the third year Blue Cross has been named a Best Employer in the mid-size category. Forbes previously recognized Blue Cross as one of America’s Best Employers for Diversity.
