Five people were arrested early Sunday morning in connection with an “open house” party involving underage alcohol consumption, according to the Bay Minette Police Department.
Tom Wagner Davidson Jr., of N. Hoyle Avenue was arrested and charged with hosting an “open house” party at his residence, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, giving false information to law enforcement and possession of a false driver’s license.
According to police, a minor in possession of alcohol charge was added later when after fleeing from the scene, Davidson returned and officers found him to 22 years old instead of 18 year old as he had originally claimed.
The written statement says officers were on routine patrol at approximately 1:40 a.m. Sunday when they noticed a large group of juveniles standing a a yard on N. Hoyle Avenue and found.
“As officers inquired as to whom the owner of the house was, they discovered most of the juveniles were drinking, and a large amount of alcohol was being consumed there,” the statement said.
Ashton Cole White, 20, of Bay Minette, Steven Brik Harville, 19, of Bay Minette, Heather Brown 19, of Bay Minette and Thomas Ryan Lambert, 19, of Theodore, were also arrested and charged with minor in possession of alcohol.
The release states 16 juveniles between the ages of 14 and 17 were taken into custody and released to their parents. Their cases will be turned over to the Baldwin County Juvenile Probation Office for disposition.
The Bay Minette Police Department participates in the Baldwin County Underage Drinking Task Force, a partnership between the BMPD and Baldwin County Community Alliance, in identifying and persecuting people who are underage and in possession of/consuming alcohol and persecuting people who provide alcohol to juveniles.
