Boating class set for April 9

SPANISH FORT, Ala. — April 9, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Eastern Shore Flotilla 36, will present About Boating Safety at Bass Pro Shops in the meeting room on the second floor. 

Safe boating in the area is necessary for all boaters as the spring weather is approaching and water activities on the rivers, bays and the gulf are increasing.

Certified auxiliary and active duty Coast Guard course instructors will teach the course, which will be all day from 8 a.m. till 4 p.m. with a break for lunch. Lunch will be provided. 

Registration is required through April 7. Register by calling Steven Delker at 251-928-7342.

The cost of the course is $35 per person. This cost includes course material and lunch.  Immediate family members may register for $20. This fee includes lunch only (course materials excluded).
