SPANISH FORT, Ala. — Municipal Judge James V. Roberts swore in Bobby J. Fortenberry as Spanish Fort’s District 3 city councilman during the April 18 City Council meeting at the Gathering Place in the Prodisee Center.
Meeting attendees clapped after Fortenberry took his oath.
Fortenberry’s seat previously was held by Joe Thomas, a charter councilman when the city incorporated in 1993, who died at 89 in February.
