Dorothy Thames Bodden, a native of Mobile and a resident of Fairhope since 1995, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Golden Living Center in Fairhope.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lance J Bodden, and a son, Robert E Gilmore.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Bodden (David) Ziemer of Decatur, Ga.; two brothers, Steven Mack (Margie) Thames of Fairhope and Richard Thomas Thames of Hattisburg, Miss.; neice, Jane Thames (Gary) Bates of Montgomery, Texas; cousin, William Adam (Dale) Benik of Fairhope; three grandchildren, Stephen Hunter (Kay) Gilmore of Stafford, Va., Tep Gilmore (Butch) Denmark of Woodstock, Ga., and David Gilmore of Corbett, Ore.; eight great-granchildren and a devoted daughter-in-law, Sue Gilmore of Mullet Point.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 9 at St James Episcopal, Fairhope.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. James Episcopal Church or to Rotary Rehabilitation Center in Mobile.
