Rosemary Boharic, a former resident of Fort Wayne, Inc., and a resident of Foley, died peacefully, Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009.
She met her husband in high school and married him after he served his country during World War II. She was later a legal secretary for the building/contracting business that they ran together.
She loved to go flying in their airplane and she had many things she enjoyed doing: water skiing, tennis and bowling, just to name a few. But mostly she loved being around children and helping them. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, Donald Boharic; her grieving cat, Nathan; a sister, Helen Priebe of California; niece, Robin (Paul) Jorgensen of Massachusetts; nephews, Robert (Rachel) Boharic and Edward Boharic, both of Florida, Timothy Boharic, Daniel Boharic and Christopher Boharic; and two grand nieces, Katherine and Allison Jorgensen.
She donated her body to the Anatomical Society at the University of South Alabama’s College of Medicine to continue to help future generations.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate her life was held Monday, Nov. 9 at the First Presbyterian Church, Foley.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Cancer Society.
