Charles Aaker Boller, 80, a native of Chicago and a resident of Foley, died Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at a local hospital.
He was an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Foley. He was a U.S. Army veteran and attended the University of Alabama.
He was also a member of the American Legion, Fort and Eight at the Foley Optimist Club. He was an ambassador to the Chamber of Commerce and past chairman of the Railroad Museum Board.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura L. bonner; a son, Tommy A. Boller; and his parents, Benita Aaker Boller and William Arthur Boller.
Survivors include a son, John (Lynn) Boller of Orange Beach; daughter, Lou (Jeff) Bennett of Orange Beach; two sisters, Barbara Ann Hagan of Orange Beach and Jane (Glenn) Moyer of Magnolia Springs; brother, William “Bill” (Martha) Boller of Orange Beach; thre grandchildren, Candace Boller of New York, Cammie Boller and John Boller Jr., both of Orange Beach; two step-grandchildren, Jessica Bennett of Ashville, N.C., and Elizabeth Pellett of Atlanta; sister-in-law, Eleanor Lewis of Sweetwater; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 17 at Pine Rest Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. Friday, July 18 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, or the Foley Chapter of the Boy Scouts.
