Emily Elizabeth Bommer and Thomas Henry Hardy were united in marriage June 14, 2008 at the Auburn Chapel of Auburn University in Auburn. The Rev. Cade Ferris officiated. A dinner and celebration followed at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Bommer of St. Louis, Mo. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hardy of Spanish Fort.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless bodice made of Alençon lace attached to cascading rushing on an ivory silk skirt that flowed into a chapel-length train.
Suzanne Hardy of Atlanta served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Ditmer of John Island, S.C., Lauren McCall of Auburn and Laura Whitaker of Atlanta.
Father of the bridegroom Henry Hardy served as best man. Groomsmen were Ross Hardy of Spanish Fort, Josh Bommer of St. Louis, Mo., and Clayton Kelleher of Birmingham.
Ring bearer was Seth Shirley, cousin of the bridegroom, of Spanish Fort.
Following a honeymoon trip to St. Barts Island, French West Indies, the couple live in Atlanta.
