Bones found on beach near Gulf State Park; 1 believed human

GULF SHORES, Ala. - Between Sept. 1 & Sept. 4, members of the Gulf Shores Police Department responded to three different calls involving bones found on the beach. 

All 3 calls were along East Beach in the area of Gulf State Park. Preliminary testing has shown that two of the bones are not human. However, at this time one of the bones is believed to be human. 

GSPD Detectives are working with the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences and forensic anthropologists. The investigation is in its early stages.  As further information becomes available details will be released.
