Ray Boone, 81, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 in Little River.
He was a native of Booneville, and resided in Little River, for the past 80 years. He attended the Mineola Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Kathryn Boone of Little River; two sons, Danny (Helen) Boone of Little River and Roger (Andrea) Boone of Lucedale, Miss.; two daughters, Susan (Edward) Boone and Darlene Odom, both of Little River; brother-in-law, Jimmy Owens of Sanaquin, Utah; sister-in-law, Barbara McInnis of Monroeville; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24 at the Mineola Baptist Church with the Rev. George Fisher and the Rev. Cornelius Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at the Mamie’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until funeral time at the church.
Pallbearers are Butch Dueitt, Billy Scott, Marvin Havard, Clayton Boone Jr., Mickey Pumphrey and Heath McInnis.
Arrangements are by Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, Atmore.
