Voncile W. Bowden, 88, a native of Canoe, a resident of Houston for 50 years and a recent resident of Elberta, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, at a local hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Bowden, sister, Lois Pilgrim Hardin, and brother, John M. Waters.
She was a member of Northwoods Presbyterian Church in Houston and an Auburn fan who loved to travel.
Survivors include two sisters, Carrie Rhodes of Bon Secour and Dorothy Mastin of Mobile; two brothers, William H. Waters of Summerdale and Willis R. Waters of Corpus Christi, Texas, a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
