Milton Eugene “Bill” Boykin, 78, a long time resident of Daphne, died Wednesday, Feb. 18.
He served in the U. S. Army with the 54th Engineers Battalion, Company "A," in Germany for six years from 1948 to 1954. Upon his resignation from the Armed Forces, he began working at Brookley Air Force Base in Mobile, eventually retiring from the United States Civil Service, Department of the Navy, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret “Mickey” Boykin, son, Martin Boykin; daughter, Kim (Roland) Godwin, one grandson, Dylan Godwin; and three sisters, Eloise Smith, Kathleen Downey and Ann Negus.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Daphne Baptist Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association.
