DAPHNE, Ala. — Bay Rivers Art Guild of Daphne (BRAG) will offer a “Plein Air In Oil” workshop hosted by internationally known artist Nina Fritz on March 17-19.

Fritz’s artistic achievements and numerous awards in both oil and watercolor are but one side of this unique artist’s success.

She is the founder of the Pensacola Plein Aire Artists Foundation, where both her studio and gallery reside.

She is generous with both her skill and time, devoting many hours to elementary schools to instill appreciation of art in the young, and has donated several of pieces of art to nonprofit and fund-raising efforts.

Using live flowers as her base, Fritz will personally demonstrate and guide the participant into their own work of art.

Due to high demand for her talent, the workshop will also have a featured highlight to entice watercolor lovers to attend.

Fritz states, “While the demonstration is in oil, watercolorists are encouraged, and will basically receive a private lesson as I work with them.”

Bay Rivers Art Guild has been privileged to have Fritz as a guest artist and judge on many occasions.

“It always feels like a vacation to me when I am at BRAG. I receive such a pampered and attentive welcome,” she said.

BRAG is located at 1704 Sixth St. in Daphne.  Call (251) 621-0659 to register. Space is limited and filling quickly.
