Charles Clarence “C.C.” Brantley, 89, a native of Monroe County and a resident of Bay Minette, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009 at his residence.
He was self-employed (retired) in the dirt hauling business and was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Bay Minette.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Brantley of Bay Minette and Jerry (Pam) Brantley of Atmore; two daughters, Carolyn (Jack) McDuffie of Matlacha, Fla., and Vicky (Thomas) Kelly of Bay Minette; brother, George Brantley of Georgiana; sister, Teen Brown of Grand Bay; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Henry Cox, Dr. Robbie Howard and Dr. Chip Starnes officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Brian Sims, Steven McKay, Stuart Brantley, Chris Brantley, Charles Brantley and Matthew Kelly. Honorary pallbearers are his Sunday School Class and Jack Balzli.
The family requests memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church Benevolent Fund, P.O. Box 1628, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
