FOLEY, Ala. — Mr. James Richard Branum of Greenville, Ala. is pleased to announce the engagement of his daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Branum, to Richard Joseph Bourne of Foley, son of Mrs. Becky Lee Smith of Foley and Mr. Richard Louis Bourne of Windermere, Fla. Katie is also the daughter of the late Mrs. Phyllis Glenn Branum.
The bride elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Pinkney Auston Glenn Jr. of Greenville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Vance Hansel Branum, also of Greenville.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Lee and the late Mrs. Geneva Bourne Gleason, all of Foley.
Katie is a 1999 graduate of Fort Dale Academy. She is a 2003 graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor of science in nursing, and a 2007 graduate of Troy University with a master's of science in nursing. Katie is a family nurse practitioner employed by Southern Health Associates of Troy, Ala.
Rick is a 2001 graduate of Foley High School and a 2007 graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor of science in finance. He is a land agent currently employed by AlaLandCo Inc.
The wedding is planned for April 9, 2011 in Greenville.
