Alex J. Broussard Jr., 81, a long time resident of Lillian, died Thursday July 8, 2010.
He was a member of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, Knights Of Columbus, and was a gourmet cook.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Mabel Broussard; and son, Carl Broussard.
Survivors include two daughters, Laura (John) Brown of Lillian and Cindy (Lowell) Schell of Melbourne, Fla.; three sons, Kernie J. (Mary) Broussard of Maurice, La., Kermit J. (Janice) Broussard of Elberta and Fred Broussard of Lillian; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 11 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lillian. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 12 at the church. Burial will follow at Gilley's Cemetery, Lillian.
Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Elberta.
