Vicki Browning announces the engagement of her daughter, Lauren Browning, to Ric Bennett, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cedric Bennett Jr. of Fairhope.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thompson Sr. of Fairhope, Helen McCoy of Anniston and Landon Browning Sr. of Summerdale.
She is a 2007 graduate of Fairhope High School and is a 2009 graduate of Faulkner State Community College.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mazur of Fairhope, Fleur Bennett of Fairhope and the late Cedric Bennett Sr.
He is a 2005 graduate of Fairhope High School and is a student at Mississippi State University in Starkville.
The couple will exchange vows Oct. 3, 2009.
