Lillian Gilbreath Bryant, 81, a native of Georgia and a resident of Gulf Shores, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2007.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gulf Shores where she was a Sunday School teacher and a choir member. She was involved in art, bird watching and was an avid gardner of plants and flowers. In Miami, in 1949 she was crowned the Orange Bowl Queen. Her favorite work experiences were with the Sears and Roebuck Company of Miami and the Riviera Theater of South Carolina. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Survivors include a son, Don W. Bryant of Loxley; brother, Ralph (Alena) Gilbreath of Cedar Bluff; three sisters, Doris K. Brantley of Carrollton, Ga., Millie Branham of Lugoff, S.C., and Evelyn (Dick) Little of West Palm Beach, Fla.

Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley. Graveside services and interment will be held at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16 at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Fla.
