Clay Richerson Bryars, 43, a native of Dawson, Ga., and a resident of Columbia, S.C., died Monday, Nov. 12, 2007.
He was a former resident of Bay Minette; was a program manager with the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation and was a graduate of Huntingdon College in Montgomery.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George Bryars; his father, Thomas S. Bryars and a sister, Cynthelia “Telia” Bryars.
Survivors include his mother, Lorena Manci Bryars of Bay Minette; brother, Thomas S. (Carolyn) Bryars Jr. of Bay Minette; sister, Amelia B. (Earl) Stephens of Bay Minette; seven nieces, three nephews, two grand nieces, two grandnephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. Julia Webb-Bowden and the Rev. Misty Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.
There will also be a memorial service held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21 at the Whitten Chapel, Whitten Center Campus, Clinton, S.C.
Pallbearers will be Michael Mee Jr., Will Stephens, Carlton Law, Frank Manci, Joe Read and John Parks.
