Stunt rider Bubba Blackwell will return to his hometown of Summerdale next week to present a free show as part of the town’s Independence Day festivities.

Blackwell’s show begins at 8 p.m. on the Fourth of July at Pioneer Park, located in the center of town. It will be followed by fireworks at 9 p.m.

The Bon Secour resident said next week’s performance will provide the audience with minute details of the stunts he will perform on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

“There’s a microphone in my helmet,” Blackwell said.

He added that the show will be appropriate for all ages.

“It’s a real family-friendly show,” Blackwell said.

But that’s not the only Fourth of July festivities planned in South Baldwin.

MAGNOLIA SPRINGS

In Magnolia Springs, the Community Association will host its annual Fourth of July Celebration. It kicks off at 10:30 a.m. with a patriotic parade down Oak Street. This will be followed by a hot-dog lunch at Magnolia Springs Volunteer Fire Department.
