FAIRHOPE, Ala. — LuLu’s restaurant owner and author Lucy Buffett will sign copies of her book, “Crazy Sista Cooking: Cuisine & Conversation with Lucy Anne Buffett,” on Monday, Aug. 31, from 6:30–8 p.m., at the Fairhope Museum of History, 24 N. Section St.

The Eastern Shore is hosting the 2009 Alabama Governor’s Conference on Tourism, so Monday, Fairhope will sponsor Magic on Main Street with a mini Mardi Gras parade, tree lighting, live music, fireworks and small ArtWalk.

Many merchants will extend hours until 8:15 p.m.

Buffett’s books will be available for purchase at the event for $29.95. Bring credit card, check or cash.

Buffett released her long-awaited cookbook in January 2007. This cleverly written volume features more a generous portion of cherished family recipes complemented by laugh-out-loud anecdotes that will leave food lovers hungry for more.

“Crazy Sista Cooking” is a clear representation of Buffett’s passion for food and life, and it’s the perfect way to display her flair for storytelling.

She artfully reveals these distinctive Buffett traits in various chapter introductions and sidebars as she recalls some of her most memorable moments.

The book is also available for purchase at most major bookstores and on her Web site, www.lulubuffett.com.
