Mattie Nelson Burkett, 83, a native of Moselle, Miss., and a long time resident of Spanish Fort, died Sunday, March 30, 2008.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Frank Stephen Burkett and David Anthony Burkett.
Survivors include her husband, Frank L. Burkett of Spanish Fort; daughter, Sharon Diane (Brad) Arnold of Spanish Fort; daughter-in-law, Toni Werneth Burkett of Spanish Fort; two sisters, Mary Vaughn of Newton, Miss., and Sally Saxon of Meridian, Miss.; sister-in-law, Doris Smith of Paducah, Ky.; brother-in-law, Samuel David Burkett of Saraland; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday, April 1 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 2 from the funeral home chapel. Interment followed at Jubilee Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Daphne.
