"font-family:">Burt Eliot Nichols, 88, a native of Newton, Mass., a former resident of Wellesley, Mass. and Fairhope, and a current resident of Spanish Fort, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011.
"font-family:">Mr. Nichols was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was employed at the Lincoln Lab at MIT for more than 25 years.
"font-family:">He was a member of the Unitarian Church.
"font-family:">He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beverly Nichols of Spanish Fort; daughters, Amy Guistina and her husband, Ray, of Odessa, Fla., and Kate Clever and her husband, Robin, of Mobile; brother John Nichols of Wolfeboro, N.H.; four grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Elizabeth and Kaitlyn; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
"font-family:">Graveside services and interment will be held in Memory Gardens of Fairhope, Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at 11:30 a.m.
