Businesses give 'stress break' to Daphne Elementary teachers

DAPHNE, Ala. — On March 15, the teachers at Daphne Elementary School were treated to a “stress break” during their planning periods.

Dr. Jason Pierce, of Pierce Specific Chiropractic, P.C., felt that these hard-working individuals deserved a time to relax and de-stress. During their 10-minute break, teachers spoke with Pierce about stress and how it can affect their general health and well being.

They also received a five-minute massage given by massage therapist, Rosemarie von Dewitz of Fairhope. Local businesses partnered with Pierce to treat these teachers and show their appreciation for all that they do.

The following businesses donated gifts such as discounts or free items to each teacher who participated: Lenny’s Sub Shop, YMCA of Daphne, Dixie Cleaners, Thrillz Gifts, Smoothie King, Paint N Pals, Will Hughes Catering and Market, Papa’s Pizza, Moe’s BBQ, Hurricane’s Candles, Chick-Fil-A of Daphne, and The Fairhope Health Foods Store.

A special thanks to Stephanie Hull who was instrumental in making this event happen.
