Larry Ellis, left, Forestry Examiner for the City of Orange Beach, and Sgt. Carl Bradley of the Orange Beach Police Department look at a buzzard on top of a house in the city’s Regal Oaks neighborhood. The bird appeared to be wounded, but Ellis said it is illegal to kill buzzards or vultures. And as long as it was on the roof, he and his crew couldn’t deploy a net to capture it. As of Tuesday morning it was still on top of a roof in the neighborhood.
