Jacob “Jake” Michael Byers, 36, a native of San Diego and resident of Summerdale, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, former employee of Gulf Telephone Company for five years and of Southern Chevrolet in Foley as well as a former member of Eastern Shore Presbyterian Church for many years.
Survivors include a daughter, Carly Summer Byers of Fairhope; his mother, Nancy Marmont of Summerdale; father, Dan Byers of Australia; and three sisters, Stephanie Marmont of Robertsdale, Danielle Byers of Portland, Ore., and Jennifer Marmont, Fairhope.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 30 at First Baptist Church of Robertsdale with the Rev. Jeff Copeland officiating.
Arrangements are by Hughes Cremation & Funeral Service, Daphne.
