Calvin C. “C” Burt, 81, born in Burnt Corn and a resident of Pine Grove, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 at his residence.
He was a machinist (retired) at Crosby’s Lumber Co. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served on the USS Alabama during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette (Cook) Burt of Pine Grove; his children, Greg (Becky) Burt of Crossroads, Jimmy (Michelle) Burt of Walnut Hill, Fla., Robert Burt of Jacksonville, Fla., Penny (Larry) Hayles of Phillipsville and Vic Addicks of California; three brothers, Clinton (Betty) Burt of Bay Minette, Hill Burt of Sparks, Nev. and Wayne (Tina) Burt of Bay Minette; seven grandchildren, G2 Burt, Amy Burt, Jamie Burt, J.J. Burt, Brittany Burt, Dawn Barlow and Jody Langbauer; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at 1 p.m., at Norris Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chester Clark and Jerry Perkins officiating.
Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, from 11 a.m. until the service.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Peacock, Everette Kelly, G2 Burt, Larry Hayles, Jamie Burt and Jonathan Weatherford.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Perkins, James Killcrease and J.J. Burt.
Although the family will accept flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 1848, Lognmont, CO 80502.
