DAPHNE, Ala. — Camp Laney, a boy’s camp located atop Lookout Mountain in Mentone, Ala., will host an informational meeting and slide show for area boys Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 4 p.m. at Church of the Apostles COTA — 909 Daphne Ave. — next to Zoghby’s Uniforms across from Daphne Utilities. Representatives of the camp will be on hand to answer questions and refreshments will be served.
Founded in 1959, Camp Laney each summer provides four two-week sessions for boys ages 6 to 16. A one-week session is also available for campers ages 6 through 8. The camp provides each boy with a carefully supervised, exciting and fun experience featuring adventure sports, ropes course, water and team sports, archery/riflery, horseback, mountain bike riding and more!
Camp Laney seeks to help each boy develop close friendships and a sense of security and self-confidence, according to a spokesperson.
The camp is accredited by the American Camp Association.
