Vada May Truxillo Camper, 79, a native of New Orleans, and a resident of Fairhope for more than 20 years, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008.
She was always very active in her community and was a member of a mystic society in New Orleans.
She and her husband, James B. Camper, retired to Fairhope where they spent many wonderful years.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd Cornish and James B. Camper.
Survivors include a son, Michael Cornish, of Marrero, La.; two daughters, Laura (Michael) Hinman of Fredericksburg, Va., and Kathleen (Carlos) Rego of Kenner, La.; grandchildren, Jennifer Campagne, Charlotte Takewell, Kristine Campagne; brothers, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, Dec. 30 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
