Capt. Walter Douglas Cummings Sr., 78, born in St. Clair, Mich. and a resident of Elberta, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey Jane Cummings of Elberta; a son, Walter D. Cummings Jr. of Summerdale; two stepsons, Gary Egebrecht of Robertsdale and Larry Egebrecht of Chattahoochee, Fla.; three sisters, Viola Homewood of Lake City, Fla., Ruth Allen of Elberta and Claudia Lupo of Starke, Fla.; a brother, David Cummings of Orlando, Fla.; multiple grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, at 3 p.m., at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the service time.
