Car burglary suspect arrested

DAPHNE – A suspect in a string of car burglaries on the Eastern Shore has been arrested on multiple felony charges, according to police reports.

Terron Keon Moton, 18, of Daphne was arrested by Daphne police on Friday. He is being held in the Baldwin County Corrections Center on five charges, according to jail records.

Moton was identified as a suspect in a string of incidents in which someone entered multiple unlocked cars in the Stratford Glen, Dauphine Acre, and Winged Foot neighborhoods on the morning of June 20, Daphne police said in a statement.

In at least one of the incidents, a gun was reported taken.

Moton is charged with four counts of breaking and entering a vehicle and one count of fourth-degree theft of property. He is being held in the Corrections Center with his bond set at $40,500, according to jail records.

According to earlier reports, a person was reported going through the neighborhoods on a bicycle looking for unlocked cars to enter.

Spanish Fort police also reported a person caught on video pulling door handles in the Stone Brook subdivision off Jimmy Faulkner Drive over the weekend of June 18 and 19. A pistol was reported taken from a vehicle in the subdivision on the following Monday night or Tuesday morning.

No suspects had been charged in those incidents as of press time.

Moton had also been arrested by Loxley police on June 1 on a charge of breaking and entering a motor vehicle. He was also charged with first-degree burglary and third-degree burglary. He was released on $5,000 bond, according to jail records.
