On Jan. 2, Foley Police Department received a call around 7:20 a.m., referencing a report of a disturbance involving three males at Tanger Outlets. Foley police received reports of the male subjects harassing employees by screaming at them and being aggressive.
Once an officer was on the scene, he observed the vehicle and tried to make a traffic stop of the subject, but the subjects wouldn’t stop.
The car continued to elude the Foley officer at which time a pursuit of the vehicle was engaged. Early in the contact, the officers discovered that the car and these subjects were involved in a carjacking in Mobile earlier that morning.
The pursuit was continued into Mobile. The vehicle ended up running into a curb on Rylands Street in Mobile. Mobile Police Department was on scene to assist as well. Once the subject ran into the curb, all three males fled the vehicle on foot. All subjects were caught and arrested by Mobile and Foley police officers on foot. All the subjects were juveniles.
Foley will not be releasing their names or photos due to the age of the offenders.
This case is being investigated by the Mobile Police Department. The vehicle was originally carjacked in Mobile by the three male juveniles. The car finally came to a stop in Mobile. It was discovered per Mobile detectives these subjects were wanted in a string of robberies and burglaries in the Mobile area. Other agencies involved in the call was Robertsdale Police Department and Mobile Police Department.
