Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Carden of Elberta announce the engagement of their daughter, Miranda Lyn Carden, to Derek Michael Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Jackson of Alexander City.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Swindle of Seminole, the late John W. Hester and the late Kathleen Hester-Bowen, both of Pensacola, Fla.
She is a graduate of Emory University and is CEO of Allure Model Management in Atlanta.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mildred Jackson of Alexander City and the late Haley Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Dye of Alexander City.
He is a graduate of Georgia State University and is employed as a financial analyst with Equifax in Atlanta.
The couple will exchange vows May 9, 2009 at Children’s Chapel on the campus of Children’s Harbor.
