Carl G. Ash, 71, a native of Chicago, Ill. and resident of Silverhill, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013.

He served six years in the Army Reserve, was a retired truck driver and member of the Teamsters Local Union No. 301, Waukegan, Ill.

He loved to play golf and ride in his pickup truck with his faithful dog, “Casey.”

Survivors include his wife, Lynda Ash of Silverhill; children, Jeff (Pam) Ash of Waukegan, Ill., Janet Busch of Wadsworth, Ill., Meghan (Dan) Carlson of Antioch, Ill. and Christopher (Katrin) Savage of Antioch, Ill.; stepchildren, Lisa (John) Lucas of Robertsdale, Paul McManus of Orlando, Fla., Amy McManus of Rome, Ga., Chris Brown of Loxley and Lee (Adriana) Brown of Bossier City, La.; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Douglas of Plymouth, Maine, Carole (Curt) Emery of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Joanne Otis of Waukegan, Ill.; brothers, David (Janice) Smith of Robertsdale and Donald (Cathy) Smith of Winthrop Harbor, Ill.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013, at 10 a.m., at Mack Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Clarence Hand officiating. A visitation will be held Friday, May 24, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Baldwin County Humane Society (BARC), 306 Magnolia Ave., Fairhope, AL 36532.
