Dorothy McKenzie Carlisle, 84, a native of Perdido and a resident of Bay Minette, died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009 at North Baldwin Infirmary.
She was a retired seamstress for Mannor Slacks.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis “D.C.” Carlisle Sr. and one grandson, James R. Owen III.
Survivors include two sons, Harry L. (Jean) Shiver and Dennis Calvin Carlisle Jr., both of Bay Minette; daughter, Cheryl Owen of Gulf Shores; stepdaughter, Barbara Jean Schildgen of Gulf Shores; three grandchildren, Jennifer Owen of Gulf Shores, Julia Jackson of Daphne and Casey L. Carlisle of Bay Minette; and two great-grandchildren, Makayla Peyer and Miles Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14 at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Jeff Spicer officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Kevin McKenzie, Heath McKenzie, Butch McKenzie, Robbie McKenzie, Hayes Richerson, Timmy Richerson, Jerry Schildgen, Claude Rogers and Jason Rogers.
The family requests memorial donations be made to First United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 338, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
