Carlos Rutherford Dorman, 85, Aug. 16, 1931 - Dec. 28, 2016.
Carlos was the youngest of four siblings born to James Oscar Dorman and Minnie Allie Teel Dorman, both deceased. Carlos was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Eleanor Rebecca Goodwin Dorman.
He is survived by daughter, Karen Rebecca Dorman of Seattle, Washington; and nephew, Richard Thomas Dorman of Birmingham, Alabama.
Carlos was a native of Robertsdale, Alabama and resident of Orlando, Florida, Mobile, Alabama and retired to Fairhope, Alabama for 30 years.
Carlos proudly served in the Korean War with the 8235th Signal Service Battalion Far East Command. He retired after 34 years of civil service with the Air Force and Defense Logistics Agency.
He was a self-taught engineer; there wasn't anything he couldn't fix and he enjoyed playing pool at the Fairhope Senior Center.
Mack Funeral home in Robertsdale is coordinating a graveside service at The Rock Cemetery, Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, or the American Heart Association.
