Carol Goff Sedlack, age 72, a longtime resident of Silverhill, Ala., passed away on Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 at home after a lengthy illness.
She was a graduate of Semmes High School, Class of ’62. She enjoyed Auburn football, summer weekend gatherings around the pool with friends and the warmth of her fireplace in the winter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theo and Julia Mae Goff; brother, William “Billy” Goff; grandson, Benjamin C. Blackburn; granddaughters, Ashtain Cash and Kristen Cash; and son-in-law, Mike Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Ken Sedlack of Silverhill, Ala.; daughter, Lisa Smith of Elberta, Ala.; sons, Scott J. Cash of Robertsdale, Ala. and John E. (Lalie) Sedlack of Daphne, Ala.; granddaughters, Amanda Wells and Sara Szilvassi, both of Loxley, Ala. and Georgianna “GiGi” Eyre of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; brother, James “Doug” (Peggy) Goff of Semmes, Ala.; sister-in-law, Evelyn Goff of Semmes, Ala.; one great-grandson; and three great-granddaughters. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Silverhill First Baptist Church, Alabama Real Estate Association and Thurza Chapter No. 273 OES in Robertsdale, Ala.
She was employed by Vanity Fair Mill in Robertsdale for 18 years as a quality inspector, and later as a real estate agent and property manager with Bellator Real Estate Agency in Daphne, Ala. until she retired in 2013.
She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
