Carol Lavigne Lowell, 82, of Monroevelle, died Jan. 29.
Services were Feb. 2 at Monroe Chapel Funer home. He was intered at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Monroeville with the Rev. Steve Dunn officiating.
He was born in Daphne and was a resident of Monroeville since 1966. He served in the U.S. Army from February 1951 to January 1957. Mr. Lowell was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. He worked with Vanity Fair as a computer programmer for many years.
Survivors are his wife, Ruth B. Lowell of Monroeville; sons, Carol Mark Lowell of Gulf Shores, Timothy Allen Lowell of Hernando, La.; daughters, Malinda Gibson of Lexington, Texas, Lora Rolin of Monroeville; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
The family requests that donations be made to Monroeville Boy Scout Troop 24, 328 Westbrook Drive, Monroeville, AL 36460, or the American Cancer Society.
