Carolyn “Nita” McKinley, age 79, a native of Grapevine, Texas and resident of Loxley, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2012.
McKinley retired from Monsanto in Pensacola, and was a member of Robertsdale First Christian Church. She was an avid quilter and was a hobby farmer/cattleman. She is preceded in death by her husband, O’Neal McKinley and is survived by two daughters, Virginia (Arnold) Thomaston of Bay Minette, and Pat McDaniel of Robertsdale; one son, Butch Shaddix of Loxley; three sisters, Charlene Smith of Portland, Org.; Imogene Schones of Lone Oak, Texas and Joyce Dahlin of Dallas; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Mack Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Stephenson officiating. Burial will be in Silverhill Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Mack Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Robertsdale First Christian Church, P.O.
