Anita Rhyne Carroll, 87 born Oct. 27, 1921 in Memphis, Tenn., a resident of Bay Minette, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009 at the Oakwoood Center For Living in Bay Minette.
She was a loving mother, wife and family oriented Christian homemaker all of her life. She lived in Florida from St. Petersburg to Panama City with her husband, L. Vane Carroll Sr. from 1948 until they moved to Bay Minette in the late 1980s where they were both active in community affairs.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Vane Carroll Sr.; an infant daughter, Anita Kay Carroll; grandsons, Leonard V. Carroll III. and Timothy F. Carroll; and a sister Clarice Gibney.
Survivors include a son Leonard Vane Carroll Jr; sister, Vivian Fugler; nieces and nephews of Lincoln County Miss.
A private memorial service will be held in Mississippi at a later date.
The family requests memorial donations be made to your favorite church or charity.
