Norman S. “Hap” Carter, born Aug. 7, 1920 in Fayette, died Sunday, March 22, 2009.
He was an Air Force captain and veteran pilot who served his country during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Alta Marie Carter, and two grandsons, Wayne and John Giordano.
Survivors include three daughters, Pat (Joe) Wagner, Phyllis (Tony) Compretta of Mobile and Leatha (John) Nordmann of Fairhope; son, Jack (Kathleen) Carter of Denver; six grandchildren, Tony, Jeff and Kevin Compretta, Meagan, India and Maddy Nordmann.
Visitation was held Wednesday, March 25 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope followed by graveside services at Pine Rest Memorial Park.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Fairhope.
