Patricia Jennings Castle, 59, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008 after a brave struggle with cancer.

She was born April 27, 1948 in Jackson to Dimple and John Jennings. She was a graduate of Meridian High School and received a B.S. in elementary education from MSCW. She was a member of the Lockheart Social Club. She taught at Walton Elementary in Jackson for 11 years.

She has been a member of Colonial Heights Baptist church for 34 years. She recently served in the Baptism Ministry. She previously served as director of Mothers Morning Out, as a youth Sunday School teacher, as a Faith outreach member, and as a decision counselor. She became a Christian as a child and has lived the abundant life that Christ promised.

She loved being a grandmother. She also enjoyed playing bridge with her close friends. She will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her father John Jennings.

Survivors include her mother Dimple Brinson Jennings; her husband of 38 years, Glen Castle of Madison; three children, Dr. Brad Castle and Lindy Castle, both of Jackson and Caroline Castle of Birmingham; two adoring grandchildren, Elizabeth Castle and Coulter Lankford; a brother, John (Missy) Jennings of Richmond, Va.; and their three children, Laura Kathryn Ballagh, Sarah Ann Jennings and Mary Elise Jennings.

Visitation was held Friday, April 18 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland, Miss.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 19 at Colonial Heights Baptist Church. Burial followed at Parkway Memorial Cemetery.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Colonial Heights Baptist Church Building Fund, 444 Northpark Drive, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
