• Bay Minette Police find 14-month-old girl unresponsive, BCSO called to assist with investigation

BAY MINETTE, Alabama — A cause has yet to be determined in the death of a 14-month-old child in Bay Minette.

Bay Minette Police responded to a call of someone possibly suffering from cardiac arrest at 901 E. Pleasant Ave. at approximately 9:30 p.m. July 6.

Upon their arrival police discovered a 14-month-old female unresponsive. The child was transported to North Baldwin Infirmary where she was pronounced deceased.

The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office was called July 7 to assist with a deceased child complaint, according to a release issued Friday by BCSO investigations command.

An autopsy was performed July 7 at the Department of Forensic Science in Mobile. The autopsy is ongoing and the cause of the death is pending at this time. 

The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating this incident and will release additional information as the investigation continues.
