Cecil Austin Parrish Sr. 78, a native of Smithfield, N.C., and a long time resident of Spanish Fort, died Sunday, June 12, 2011 at his home.
He was the founder, owner and long time operator of Parrish Tire and Service Center in Daphne. He proudly left the business in the capable hands of his three sons, Austin, Drew and Freeman Parrish, and loyal friend Tommy Danner.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lois Craven Parrish of Spanish Fort; three sons, Austin (Valerie) Parrish Jr, Drew (Polly) Parrish and Freeman (Harriet) Parrish, all of Spanish Fort; daughter Melody Parrish (Ronnie) Pharez of Fairhope; and 10 grandchildren, Meredith Parrish (Josh) South, Stacy, Andrew, Mark and Michael Parrish, Joe, Sam and Ronni Pharez, Braxton and Brandy Parrish.
Visitation begins at 6:30 p.m. with a memorial service at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 16 at the Spanish Fort Church of Christ. Private graveside services will be at Jubilee Memorial Gardens.
