ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — A packed house sampled a smorgasbord from throughout Baldwin County Thursday night at the 2011 Flavors of the South Summertime Food and Wine Showcase at St. Patrick’s School Gym in Robertsdale.

The event, hosted by the Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, featured 22 food and beverage vendors from throughout the county including Budweiser-Busch Distributing, Buffalo Rock, Cain’s Piggly Wiggly Cost Plus, Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Fitzen Place, Goo Roo’s, Greer’s Catering, Hickory House BBQ, Ivey’s Fine Dining, Katy’s Catering, LA Catering, Les Roux, Lil G’s Cajun Market, Liz’s Lunch at Fitzpen Place, Magnolia Blossom Cafe, Mama Lou’s, O’Charley’s, Papa’s Place, Sam’s Club, South Baldwin Regional Medical Center, The Bake Shoppe Cafe, The Blake at Malbis and Vitolli’s Pizzeria.

The event also included a silent auction with proceeds benefitting the Chamber.
