LOXLEY, Ala. — “Summertime, Summertime, Sum-Sum-Sumertime"…was the theme of the night as the Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce held its Fourth Annual Small Business After Hours “Summer Kick-Off” at the Loxley Civic Center Tuesday night.

With good food and lively music in the background, those in attendance were able to go around and look at the sixteen different local businesses that set up booths in an “Hawaiian” style and were able to talk to their representatives and get information about the businesses.

Jamie Mangion, CBCC director of operations, said this is a good way for the smaller business owner and those with home-based businesses to network with each other and gain new clients from the community.

“We usually have a great response to this event and I am so thankful for all the support I receive from the chamber sponsors and the City of Robertsdale for providing us with a building. The chamber volunteers and ambassadors were such a huge help, especially Leslie Sawyer, Michelle Bodle and John Thomas, who helped organize and set up for the event,” Managuan said.

Among the businesses participating were; Baldwin Farms Apartments, Campbell Hardware and Supply, Coastal Industrial Supply, Cruise Away, Delta Janitorial Products, Green Acres School of Dance, Household Pest Control, Joseph Allan Shaw, Attorney at Law, Neuschwander, Faircloth and Hardy, Power Productions, Practical Pools and Ponds, Prudential Cooper and Company, Robertsdale Medical Specialists, Sweat Tire Company, Vision Bank and Women’s Business Center.

There were also food and beverage donations by: A Catered Affair, Burris Farm Market, Hickory House BBQ, Vitolli’s Pizzeria, The Bake Shoppe Cafe, Little G’s Cajun Market, Cain’s Piggly Wiggly, Magnolia Blossom Cafe, Budweiser-Buscch Distributing and Coca-Cola Bottling Company. Entertainment was provided by Robinson Entertainment (Troy Robinson) and Green Acres School of Dance. Joey Knight with the Town of Loxley provided the facility.

Door prizes were also given away from participating businesses and the grand prize of $500 was given to David Garbo of Hiller Systems.
