ROBERTSDALE, Alabama — The Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce is in the midst of planning the Chamber's 36th Annual Banquet, "Moonlight & Magnolias," to be held on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012. The event will be held at the Baldwin County Coliseum in Robertsdale beginning at 5 p.m.
The presenting sponsor for this year's event will be South Baldwin Regional Medical Center.
The Annual Banquet brings attention to the business community and serves as a fundraiser for the chamber.
It celebrates the year's successes and announces the focus of the coming year. This is an upscale evening with a reception and dinner. Estimated attendance is approximately 400 business leaders, chamber members, elected officials and the community at large.
Awards will be presented by the Chamber for the “Business of the Year” given to each of the four municipalities served by the Chamber: Loxley, Robertsdale, Silverhill and Summerdale along with the "Man of the Year" and "Woman of the Year" awards. The final awards will be given for "Chamber Volunteer of the Year" and "Community Volunteer of the Year."
During the evening the 2011 Chairman, Steve Brooks, will pass the gavel to 2012 Chairman of the Board, Tommy Herndon.
The evening will also feature a silent auction. Silent auction items are donated from area businesses to assist the Chamber in bringing in operating funds. Donating a silent auction item is a great way to draw recognition to your business. If you are interested in donating an item to the silent auction, please call the Chamber at 251-947-2626 to have a donation form faxed or emailed to you.
