ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — Central Baldwin Middle School Soccer Coach Adam Crandall has been relieved of his coaching responsibilities until the end of the season stemming from an incident seen on tape.

Terry Wilhite, Baldwin County Board of Education director of communications, said Crandall found some students in the teacher’s lounge after school on Friday and took off his belt and doubled it up like he was going to strike them in a harmful way.

“Crandall didn’t actually strike the students but threatened to and for this action, he was relieved of his coaching duties until the end of the season,” Wilhite said.

This is the first time Crandall has been involved in any kind of disciplinary action in the five years he has been coaching, Wilhite said.
